Below I have listed 10 steps that must take place inorder for your website to be up and running
The majority of the below steps will be carried out by the developer in consultation with the client
Select the links below to read further on each step.

2. Website Hosting
3. Template Selection
4. Establish Pages
5. Select Extra's (Optional)
6. Provide Information
7. Search Engine Registration
8. Developer Testing
9. Client Testing
10. Website Live
This is where you decide on and purchase your domain name. The domain name is the www.yourname.com address that internet users will use to view your site.
Other adddress extentions include .net / .org / .biz with .com being the most popular.
Only registers Irish Companies may purchase a .ie address
The developer of your site will make this purchase on your behalf or if you already have a current domain name, simply provide the details to the developer.
Back2. Website Hosting
Website Hosting are the servers on which your pages will be placed for safe storage and viewing on the Internet.
The developer of your site will make this purchase on your behalf or if you already have a current hosting account, simply provide the details to the developer.
Both Website Hosting and Domain Name charges are usually yearly charges and unavoidable for any website.
Back3. Template Selection
For the Template Selection, you as the Client must decide on how your website will look, i.e: Layout, Colors etc..
It will be possible for Bull Mull Design to present a number of templates for your viewing and modifications if necessary.
Once a template has been selected/designed and agreed on, each page of your new website will be similiar in layout and color.
Back4. Establish Pages
This is where you decide on the pages and information you wish to place on your website.
There are a number of standard pages that every website will have such as, Home/Index Page, About Us, Contact Us, Site Map.
You then may include any number of pages regarding your service etc..
Back5. Select Extra's (Optional)
A list of extra options you may wish to include on your site are as follows;
-
Contact Us Form
Direction Map to your Premises
Email Subscribers Option
Purchasing of Products
6. Provide Information
Once you have decided what information you will be placing on your website, you must provide that information to the developer.
Welcome Note, About Us Info, Contact Details, Product Details etc..
Back7. Search Engine Registration
A website can be deemed complete until at least your site will appear in a Search Engine and Internet users can find your site easily.
The Developer will register your site with search engine such as GOOGLE. Once registered with GOOGLE it is up to GOOGLE to find your site. This may take several weeks and is out of the hands of the developer, although, a site with sufficient information will be found by GOOGLE easily.
Back8. Developer Testing
Once all of the above has been completed, the developer will complete detailed tests to ensure the site pages are consistant, information is correct, links are working etc..
Back9. Client Testing
Once the developer has completed their testing the site will be handed over to yourself for your own testing. After your testing, you should be satisified with the completed website, such as, pages, information, layout, colors etc..
It's at this point that you must notify the developer if you wish for any changes to be made to the site.
Back10. Website Live
Once you are completely happy with your new website it can be uploaded to the Web Hosting Company for viewing online.
